Thanks. This kind of effect is about working more with the ambient light and shapes and less with the lines.You have to remenber that dark tones will be in the front, start painting the background and respect the overall tone of the picture working with the colors of the background.

Like what you've done with Cube Man.... take it this was mostly done without computer?

Thanks, yeah this was done in color pencil and then I scanned it and added some shading and minor details.
